What do you think happened here?

“Motoring” – Guy drives his souped-up personal mobility scooter at Lakeshore & Leslie

2010_tdm_img_4043

This guy and his wife are a stable in Leslieville. They have matching personal mobility scooters fully decked out with canopies, cup-holders and HUGE mirrors. Unfortunately I couldn't catch both in the same frame. Someday though, someday.

“Where’s Eric?” – I’m in there somewhere, Self-Portrait in Red

“I Get Around” – Well worn truck tire at rest

“The Pearl Necklace” – It ain’t just for wives and girlfriends anymore

“KISSES!” – Napkin covered in lipstick kisses

“Hi” – Rugged and unusual Volvo

Photo

My friend, Rudo, has informed me that this is a Volvo C303 and is “amazing.”

I also found a video (what did we ever do before YouTube?) of one of these bad boys in action:

“Where It’s At” – Massively labeled garage doors, Gilead Place, Corktown, Toronto

Discovered a fantastic little street today: Gilead Place. In addition to these garage doors it’s also home to Jamie Kennedy’s Gilead Cafe and a row of swanky and modern townhouses.

“You Will Soon Know the Power of the Dark-Side” – Some dude I’ve known since I was 7 years old channelling Emperor Palpatine

“Have A Seat” – Woman enjoys a coffee and a smoke outside a hospital, Toronto

“The Party is That-a-way!” – Party-goer’s pumps provide direction

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!

“Breakfast of Champions” – Mickey of CC and a cup o’ Tims on a newspaper box, Toronto

“No Babies Beyond This Point!” – Hospital sign or UFC slogan?

And the answer is…a hospital ward at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.

“Going Up?” – Crane lifts concrete stairway at construction site, Toronto

“Shakin’ Up the ‘Red Light District'” – Piano shop window, Toronto

“Strike-Up The Band” – Unique window display, Toronto

“The Introduction to The Opposites” – Anti-authoritarian approach to storing seamless boxes

“Red Door Rust” – City of Toronto Work warehouse seen from Loblaws Lakeshore & Leslie parking lot, Toronto

“Dragon-Fire Red” – Chinatown restaurants wallpaper, Boston

The dim sum was excellent but our table was not.

If you can visit and they attempt to seat you on the small karaoke stage at the back of the dining room, insist on another table. The food carts can’t get to you!

“When Do Hansel and Gretel Arrive?” – Tiny rustic house unexpectedly discovered in North Montreal

Check it out on Google Streetview:

If anyone knows the people who live there I’d love to meet them.

“Peeking Through” – Changing leaves poking through a wooden fence, The Beach, Toronto

“Rip-Curl” – Abstract neon, Dolce Social, Toronto

“Severe Weather Area” – Women’s toilet, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

I ain’t touching this one. I’ll leave the comments for others.

“Crop-tacular” – Fire retardant blanket proves the power of in-camera cropping

“Truckin’ ” – Peterbilt driving the QEW to Toronto

“Fire, Fire”

“Conflict of Interest?” – Coke machine dispensing Pepsi, Niagara Falls, NY

“Happy Canada Day!” – Unintentionally patriotic gallery patron, AGO, Toronto

This image was not a “happy accident”. I had just finished looking at this magnifying glass art piece when I saw a plaid-wearing gallery patron making the rounds. I staked-out my spot for about a minute before he finally walked past and I snapped this shot.
