Let me explain how this is a self-portrait.
On a recent photoshoot in the Presidential Suite of the Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto, we needed to setup a silk and a light outside the master bathroom on the adjoining balcony.
I volunteered to keep an eye on the equipment as it was somewhat windy outside being 20 stories up.
While the photographer was shooting I noticed that the glass building across the street provided a perfect mirror image of my vantage point. Positioning myself in the middle of the silk’s reflection, I timed my exposure so as to catch the strobe head firing and illuminating the white fabric.
The result is a bright white square that punctuates the reflection and almost fully envelopes my outline in glowing white light.
…You open the studio fidge and find two mickeys of vodka in the dairy drawer.

1) On a fashion shoot this is not considered weird;
2) No one talks back to a man in a mask.
My boy Mike rocked the reflector while I rocked the cowboy hat.
