That was at a bank counter? It looks like it was found in the wreckage of a fire.
In the ATM room there was a counter like the ones that are usually inside the bank for endorsing cheques and filling out deposit/withdrawal slips (remember doing that?!?!?). This calculator was cemented to the counter-top. And, as is the case with breakable things kept in public 24-hour accessible places, it did not fare too well.
